[Reviewed] Jonsbo W2 Window (ATX Aluminum Dual Chamber Chassis)

Jonsbo got us pretty excited in Computex 2014 and they've just released a new dual chamber case called the W2.

it's just been reviewed by itocp.com

For those interested in the original review, please follow this link.

We'll be using itocp.com's images in our own walkthrough of the case.

This is the Jonsbo W2. Its an ATX case with a steel structure and Aluminum body.

Quote:

Measurements(mm): 278(W) x 385(H) x 395(D)

Material: SGCC Structure, 2.0mm Aluminum Body Panels

Form Factor: XL-ATX, ATX, micro ATX, mini-ITX

HDD Support: 3.5" max: 3, 2.5" max: 4, 5.25" max: 1

PCI slots: 8

Fan support: Front: 1 x 80mm, 2 x 120/140mm (2x140mm included)

Fan support: Rear: 1 x 120mm (1x120mm included)

Fan support: Bottom: 2 x 120mm

Radiator support: (front) 120/140/240/280mm

Radiator support: (bottom) 120/240mm

GPU support: up to 320mm with 25mm thick fan (using front mounted radiators will lower the max GPU length)

Heatsink support: up to 163mm height

PSU support: up to 250mm length

The front is clean, devoid of any expansion slots, buttons or logos. You can put your favourite logos here or leave it clean like how we prefer it.

Right side panel features the USB 3.0, Audio, Power/Reset buttons and LEDs. There are also slots for PSU air intake.

Left panel can either be a solid aluminium panel or a clear acrylic panel as seen above.

From the bottom we can see the steel structure. Air intake is fully filtered.

Busiest part of the case. The rear shows off the dual chamber design. Motherboard and GPU gets separated from the rest of the components.

Both side panels are not held with any screws. Instead they are pressure held through these bits.

A simple fan controller is included with the case. Low/Standard/High options that translate to 5V/7V/12V.

This rear slot can be removed to house a 5.25" device should you really require one.

Pop off the right side panel to reveal the HDD/PSU chamber. Plenty of space to do cable management. Cable management holes are also grommeted.

An 80mm(not included) fan can be fitted to enhance cooling for your HDDs/SSD.

Numerous cable tie hooks should aid with cable management.

Rubber support for the PSU reduces unwanted vibrations.

Jonsbo includes a magnet mounted dust filter for your PSU.

Rear HDD cage takes 2 x 3.5" HDDs or 1x 3.5" HDD, 1x 2.5"/5.25" device

Front cage mounts 3 x 2.5" HDD/SSDs.

You can also forgo 1 x 120mm bottom fan to mount another 3.5" in the main chamber.

Next is the main chamber. 3 fans are included by default and there's enough space to support XL-ATX motherboards.

You can add a 240mm radiator or 2 fans here. There are also mounting points for a 3.5" HDD, along with cut out for cables.

No top fan mounts as Jonsbo wanted to keep the case within reasonable dimensions. You do get cut outs for 12v CPU power cables to be routed through.

You can swap these fans out for a 280mm radiator!

The front fan intakes are filtered too.

Now we fill the case.

Add 2 high end GPUs. and Power it up! You won't see many unsightly cables due to the dual chamber design.

And its complete.

Thanks for reading! We hope you'll like this case as much as we do.
