LG officially announces what we originally thought was their definitive Galaxy Note competitor.
Around three weeks ago, VR-Zone discussed leaked information regarding two new LG G3 variants: the G3A and the G3 Stylus. Today, a few weeks before IFA 2014, LG has officially announced the G3 Stylus, and it is rather surprising.
Contrary to popular belief, the G3 Stylus is not the high-end Galaxy Note competitor we had in mind. Its specs can barely compete with budget offerings of today, even.
With the weak CPU, low RAM, and antiquated display tech, this is clearly targeted at developing markets.*If priced right (around the $150 mark), I*can see it doing relatively well. I would still strongly recommend people to go for the Moto G if they are on a budget.
LG will display*G3 Stylus on the show-floor at IFA 2014.*It will be launched in Brazil in September, followed by Asia, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, and the Middle East. Pricing will be announced in local markets later on.
