China Telecom leaks the iPhone 6

It looks like one of Apple’s carrier partners has jumped the gun on the upcoming flagship smartphone. China Telecom posted a rendering of what is believed to be the iPhone 6 on Sina Weibo.





While it wouldn’t surprise anyone to find out that carriers know a lot more about Apple’s upcoming smartphone that they are letting on at this point in time, it is understood that they’ll keep the information under wraps before Apple makes the official announcement. As far as the iPhone 6 is concerned Apple is reportedly going to show it off to the world on September 9th, so its highly unusual for China Mobile to make this post on Weibo.

The post shows off a rendering of the upcoming iPhone 6, reiterated dozens of recent rumors that the smartphone is just around the corner. Moreover it also reiterates some of the rumors that we have heard about the smartphone’s design. iPhone 6 is believed to have rounded edges, a design feature borrowed from Apple’s iPod touch.

The iPhone in this rendering also appears to be thinner than all of its predecessors, which is yet another thing that is making the rounds these days. iPhone 6 is believed to be lighter and thinner than all of*the previous models. It is also believed to have a significantly larger 4.7-inch display.

China Telecom will certainly one of those carriers that will offer the iPhone 6 in China once it is formally launched. The smartphone is expected to hit shelves later in*September.
