Although alleged Samsung Galaxy Note 4 leaks have already hit flood levels, there’s still obviously plenty of space for rumormongers to do their thing, speculating on possible release time frames and camera specifications.
I’m afraid the situation is looking bleak for everybody that was holding off their next high-end mobile purchase for the Galaxy S5 Prime, aka Galaxy F. The mythical ultra-high-end smartphone has materialized, under the S5 LTE-A moniker, but a global rollout is a long shot. Also, the much desired, uber-hyped metallic exterior never came into being.
On the bright side, the Note 4 is undoubtedly coming soon, and its mind-blowing features should take your mind off the S5 Prime that never was. Regardless of whether the 5.7-inch phablet will sport an aluminum chassis or not (probably not).
Widely expected to break cover at or prior to IFA 2014 in Berlin, the fourth-gen Note could go on sale as early as “immediately” after the German tech expo. That’s at least what Korean press outlets claim to have heard from “sources in the know”, albeit no one’s ready to mention more specific ETAs.
Will it be immediately after IFA, as in the very next day following the conference’s end (September 11)? Or immediately after IFA, as in by the end of the month? We sure hope it’s the former, and fairly underwhelming Galaxy S5 sales numbers indicate Samsung needs a new hero, and it needs it fast.
Meanwhile, separate publications, also based in Korea, peg the bad boy’s rear-facing camera as an OIS beast with just 12 megapixels in tow. The optical image stabilization is great news, clearly, but the 12 MP isn’t. And it also clashes with early reports, suggesting either 16 or 20 MP are in the cards.

Of course, it’s not always about the pixel count, plus the front-facing snapper sounds pretty hot, at 3.7 MP. Besides, the Quad HD screen resolution and Snapdragon 805 processing power should divert your attention away from camera features.
