Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB SSD Review

For my main rig, I had purchased a new SSD to replace my older drives. I had decided to use Kingston HyperX 3K SSD.

The box came nicely packaged, with the different features and performance of the SSD can be seen on the box itself.

Kingston HyperX 3K is using SandForce SF-2281 and is paired with Intel 25nm MLC NAND rated for 555MB/510MB sequential read and write speeds. This pairing of Sandforce and Intel had helped Kingston HyperX to be one of the best performance SSD drives around.

Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB SSD comes with a blue aluminum SSD mounting kit with screws. I felt it would be better if Kingston would package the mounting kit to be of the same color as the SSD itself.

The built quality of the Kingston HyperX 3K drives indeed are very good.

Overall, this is a very good and value for money SSD which works out to be less than $1/GB.

Thumbs up Kingston!
