Deep Silver pins a release date to the definitive Metro bundle remastered for next-gen consoles and PC.
Today Deep Silver has announced that Metro Redux will release on August 28, 2014*across next-gen consoles and PC.
Metro Redux takes the already impressive visuals of the two previous post-apocalyptic favorites and overhauls them with pristine high-def graphics built with 4A Games’ newest engine. The double-game collection features a host of new visual upgrades, updating both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light to 1080p resolution at a consistent 60 frames-per-second while keeping the original gameplay mechanics and riveting post-apocalytpic storylines intact.
Redux*features the full campaigns of both games and also come packed with full DLC that totals up to around 10 hours of bonus content. Players can further their definitive survival experience with the triumphant return of Ranger Mode, which turns off the HUD, makes ammo scarcer, and generally adds a new blistering difficulty.
A release in August is good for Metro Redux seeing as there’s not very many titles coming that month. Destiny comes in September, and a huge smattering of games release in October, but Metro will*offer a nice transitional window and give players the chance to re-live their classic memories in the ruins of Moscow all over again.

Metro Redux is slated for a release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC this August. For more information be sure to visit the game’s official website.
