NZXT’s latest CPU coolers offer great value for money and come with a six year warranty.
NZXT claims that these coolers are the first to utilize this design, and that using a variable pump minimizes sound even further. Essentially, the pump runs at a lower speed when not required, which reduces noise.*
While the Kraken X61 and X60 feature the same 280 mm radiator, the 140 mm X41’s radiator at 36 mm is noticeably thicker than what was featured on the X40. The new FX140 V2 PWM fans also run quieter and feature better bearing that aid in increasing the airflow to noise ratios when seen against earlier variants. The coolers are compatible with all new Intel and AMD sockets which include the LGA 2011, LGA 115x and FM2+ sockets.*
Finally, NZXT is rounding things off by adding in the ability to monitor these coolers via other devices, through the CAM software. The software should be similar in functionality to what Corsair offers with its Link utility, and signifies a growing trend in the industry which sees manufacturers adding in software controllable features into their hardware.*
The NZXT Kraken X41 is now available for $109.99, while the X61 is retailing for $139.99. Both CPU coolers come with a six year warranty, which NZXT claims is the longest offered by any vendor in this space.*
