HOOT! Gigabyte Z97X-SOC Force Intel Z97 MotherBoard, Overclocking Power!!!

In June of 2013, Haswell processors first industry product to feature the 22nm process. Now a refreshed Intel Haswell processors was launch, two separate tiers of Haswell processors. The locked series were launch a few wks ago and the Devil’s Canyon unlocked "K" series, recently launched and targeted for overclocking!

Intel 9-Series Z97 Platform Control Hub (PCH) has 2 points that change from 8-Series Lynx Point.

1) Legacy PCI on certain SKUs.

2) PCIe M.2 Storage Support, up to 10Gb/s.

Let take a Walk thru the Pictures...and thanks for your attention!

(By now there were plentiful of reviews floating around on the Web...and even a New

World record being broken for Memory speed of 4620MHz!!!)

New world record set by Sofos1990 on this Z97X-SOC Force!

sofos1990`s Memory Clock score: 2310.1 MHz with a DDR3 SDRAM

One of the many features of the OC Touch on the GIGABYTE Z97X-SOC Force is the OC Ignition. The OC Ignition continues to provide power to the fans, even when the system is shut down. There are a handful of situations that this is certainly handy in, if you’re in a cold bug situation that you need to continue the air flow over the board, if you’re testing a water cooling loop there will be no need to jump pins on the power supply to turn it on and i-ram users will not lose their data that’s installed.

More spacious at the Top side of MotherBoard for your 3rd party cooler or WC hoses.

With 8 power phases solution that relies on 40A ICs •Precise digital CPU power design IOR 3580. Having the space at the top might help some larger heatsink but also offers a lot more ‘room’ around the socket area to make it easier for extreme overclockers to insulate for sub-zero.

There is also the potential of four-way CrossFire, with an x8/x4/x4 + x4 PCIe lane layout. Here GIGABYTE is using PCIe 3.0 x8/x4/x4 from the CPU and PCIe 2.0 x4 from the PCH. This means four-way CrossFire, but due to SLI limitations requiring x8 lanes per card, only two way SLI.

GIGABYTE has done away with these and focused more on the overclock functions, the increased power delivery, the included OC Brace, and four-way GPU implementations without a PLX 8747 chip (which would have raised the price upwards). So it does dig deep into your Bank.

You get an overall solid Overclocking board to last! May the Force be With You ALL the Way!
