When the Gooey skins is firmly pressed onto a flat and glossy surface the air gets pushed out and the two surfaces grip together. Gooey works well at room temperature, however according to the company that manufactures the material it won't work on hot (above 25°c/77°f) and cold (below 15°c/59°f)temperatures.
Even if you have dust particles on the surface of the Gooey skin it will still work and it looks and feels like a normal smartphone case cover. Gooey skin can be re-used over and over again provided you wipe out the dust on the surface.
Unfortunately all kinds of products has its limitation and the Gooey will not work on curved surfaces or windscreen of cars and matted or anti-glossy screens, however customers have reported sticking it to Polished stone surfaces. Always do a safety check first before you leave on a wall.
