I just recently got 3 of these audio wireless streamers for just a small fee. Wanna share some personal opinions:
- can use the device to connect to existing speakers via the 3.5mm jack and RCA (cables provided)
- u can use a USB jack to charge the device or keep it connected to power via usb, it has a battery inside, so u can take it everywhere u go or use it within your home
- manages all your music via ipad/smart phone, setup for android requires the rocki app and IOS setup doesnt not require app (different setup for android and IOS, thats where it is confusing here)
- For IOS, rocki uses airplay to stream music, android will use DLNA (but I find the android setup to be very buggy and unstable)
Its a great product but I think they need to work on their software (app) more....
These are initial opinions that I have now, i think they are really great alternatives to SONOs, or other streaming speakers that uses wifi.
Best thing is u can buy your own speakers and make it wireless thru this device hehe. And u are not limited to using that particular brand s hardware (speakers)....
