Recommendation for notebook to run mutiple VM images

Hi,

I am planning to buy a notebook for attending courses, required to run around 3 virtual machine images at the same time. 2 images of win 2008r2 and 1 win7 image.Anyone has any recommendation?

requirement is as listed below :

64bits OS, at least 1 GB video ram, 8GB system ram, around 750 GB - 1TB free space HD,

i7 processor, must be able to support win 8.1

I have a question though :

What's the performance of a hybrid SSD 750GB sata with 24 gb ssd @ 5400 rpm vs a 7200 normal sata harddisk when running 3 vm images concurrently? Is Hybrid SSD really needed

and good for running 3 vm images at same time? I am presently looking at

Asus S46CB-WX119H, if normal 7200 rpm sata hd is better, I will have a greater variety to choose from ...

* Microsoft will only support windows 8 for another 2 years and users will need to switch over to windows 8.1 for continual updates and support ( read from neowin)

- read from PCworld website that windows 8.1 has some hardware requirements

That issue is Windows 8.1’s sudden need for CMPXCHG16b support in the 64-bit version. CMPXCHG16b allows for atomic memory exchanges.

That issue is Windows 8.1’s sudden need for CMPXCHG16b support in the 64-bit version. CMPXCHG16b allows for atomic memory exchanges. While modern 64-bit processors support CMPXCHG16b, some older hardware does not—but the requirement wasn’t a must-have for the 64-bit version of Windows 8. Trying to upgrade to Windows 8.1 on newly non-compatible hardware results in a message that your “CPU does not support CompareExchange 128.”
