Hi guys,
Just installed Fibre in my house. Now, I need some advice on how I should wire my house.
So basically, my ONT box is inside the utility box beside the front door (south end of my house). I will need to give access to a PC(wired) and bunch of laptops (wireless) in the north end of my house.
For the TV part, there is mioTV, so I will need a RJ45 there as well..
On the second floor, I will also need to create a wireless network for iPhones, iPads, etc…
My questions:
I got no idea how to separate the connection to 1st and 2nd floor. Should I place a switch AFTER or BEFORE the Residential Gateway?
For the 1st floor, Am I better off using the Aztech as router and the RT-N66U as the residential gateway or the other way around??
(issue: many services will be needed here: Skype, Excessive downloading and Streaming)
