Specs of HTC's next flagship smartphone rumored

The next HTC flagship is reportedly codenamed Hima and will feature top-notch hardware.

As we approach the end of 2014, rumors of upcoming Android flagships are expected to come out in higher and higher numbers. Today, specs HTC’s next flagship, codenamed Hima, have been leaked by*@upleaks.*The phone*is expected to be the successor to the HTC One M8 instead of the HTC One Max, which is apparent from the screen size – it*will reportedly have a 5-inch 1080p display, indicating HTC will be sticking to both the size and resolution that we saw on the M8’s display.

That shouldn’t trouble anyone but those who really just want the latest specs on their devices for the sake of it, as Quad HD displays still haven’t shown any noticeable merit except increased power requirements. That’s not to say the Hima won’t feature the latest specs – hardware like the upcoming 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 20.7-megapixel rear camera, a 13-megapixel/4 UltraPixel front-facing camera, and Android 5.0 with HTC Sense 7.0 mentioned in the leak.

The only issue with the Hima (which is expected to be called the HTC One M9) seems to be the 2,840mAh battery, though it should be enough to keep the lights on for an entire day thanks to the standard Full HD display resolution and more efficient SoC. As usual, all of this should be taken with a pinch of salt as we’re still a couple of months away from the time HTC usually launches new flagships.
