LG teases new G Pad tablet, coming soon in 7, 8 and 10-inch flavors

The three new tablets in LG’s G Pad lineup will be officially announced later this week*and are being teased by the company with next to no details on them.

LG has begun teasing a set of three new tablets in its G Pad range, though unlike usual pre-announcements, the Korean manufacturer is keeping mum about pretty much every detail.

LG launched the G Pad 8.3 last year as a tablet that was “just the right size,” but that isn’t stopping it from experimenting with the three standard tablet sizes prevalent in the Android world today. The G Pad lineup will be available in 7-, 8- and 10.1-inch variants, each aimed at portability, multitasking and entertainment respectively. Going by the vague teaser images, the G Pads will be similar in design to Google’s Nexus 5, and at least the 7-inch model will be available in blue, black and white color options.

On the software front, the latest G Pad tablets will come with traditional LG features, including KnockCode which allows waking up the screen through customizable “knock” patterns, and will probably be running*Android 4.4 KitKat underneath. All three tablets will be officially unveiled*at the*MedPI 2014 show between May 13-16, where we should get all the details including hardware specs, pricing and availability.
