"ASUS announced Strix GTX 980 and Strix GTX 970, all-new gaming graphics cards packed with exclusive ASUS technologies, including DirectCU II for cooler, quieter and faster performance for incredible action gaming, and 0dB fan technology for light game play in total silence.
"The cards feature exclusive ASUS DIGI+ voltage-regulator module (VRM) technology and Super Alloy Power components for enhanced durability and cooling."
Tested today is the Strix GTX 970, powered by NVIDIA's latest Maxwell GM204 GPU. The Strix is factory-overclocked to 1253MHz (boost frequency) on the core and comes with 4GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 7000MHz. The Strix GTX 970 will be compared against its predecessor, the Strix GTX 780 6GB. A quick rundown of card specifications as follows.
Check out the ASUS' product page, or NVIDIA's Maxwell architecture microsite, for more details on new features such as Voxel Global Illumination (VXGI), Multi-Frame Sampled Anti-Aliasing (MFAA) and Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR).
