LG H440n pops up online, runs on Android 5.0 out of the box

LG seems to be hard at work putting Android 5.0 Lollipop on its devices.

LG is already in the running for becoming the first manufacturer to roll out the Lollipop update to its devices, and it seems the company could also beat the competition when it comes to launching a phone running Android 5.0 out of the box.

The LG*H440n has been spotted on the HTML5Test browser benchmark site, and is listed as running on Android 5.0. No other details are listed, but according to MyLGPhones, the H44on is part of an upcoming series of devices with model numbers starting with the “H” prefix, and it would certainly make sense for LG to release a new lineup with the latest version of Android on-board, instead of making consumers wait for an update after launch.

MyLGPhones says the H440n will feature an HD display of unknown size, putting it somewhere in the upper mid-range segment, and that a variant for US carriers will also arrive later on. Other hardware information is non-existent at this point, but that will likely change in the coming weeks as LG gets closer to launching what could be the world’s first non-Nexus Lollipop device.
