HOOT! Unboxing NZXT Grid+ Fan Controller

Hi guys

I just got myself a NZXT Grid+ Fan Controller and it comes with CAM software for monitoring/controlling.

Specifications :

  • Able to control 06 fans

  • Maximum wattage of 30watts

  • Very discreet installation - One would able to hide it anywhere

  • Way affordable as compare to other type of controllers

So without further ado, here are the photos.

The all important NZXT seals - to ensure the product inside is original and was not tampered.

It comes with 2 years warranty !!

Simple-layout packaging - A detailed manual, the controller itself and cables ( 1 Molex cable, 1 USB cable, 2 or 3 4-3pins converter ) Do note if one uses the converter, the RPM would not be shown in the CAM.

The serial number is on the controller itself.

This is what attracted me to the controller - the CAM software. This CAM software allows the user to control/monitor supported hardware ie the Kraken CPU cooler, Grid+ controller etc. The specific hardware is 'controlled' by the 'TAB' at the bottom right.

The Basic tab display all your rig specs, temperature and various graphs.

The 'Grid' tab, where one could control their fans. As you guys can see, in the middle portion, there are 3 fan-profiles ( Custom, Silent and Performance ) and in each profile, there are Auto and Manual modes. The information displayed are quite useful, from the wattage that the fans are using to the current fan speed.

As you can see, the controller can be placed 'discreetly'. :)

Well, I hope this unboxing thread is useful for those looking for fan controllers or those who are interested in these type of CAM-enabled hardware. There are numerous controllers out there but there are none that is like the Grid+ - additional software monitoring without additional hardware installation.

For those who are interested, i have a BOX left. Do let me know.

Thank you for reading !!
