I finally decided to upgrade from my current gaming sound system which simply includes the Sony PULSE Elite Wireless.
I have ordered Philips Fidelio X1 V-MODA BoomPro Mic
For my PC, I got the Sound Blaster ZX at a really good price. (1) Would the Sound Blaster Omni actually be recommended? Omni offers more flexibility - I can bring it around (kinda) and plug it to my MBP (if I ever want to do so) but the ZX has better specs and the ACM offers some flexibility (though apparently it worsens quality?!)
I was hoping to connect the PS4 Optical OUT to my Sound Blaster ZX Optical IN so that I have a single solution for both my PS4 and PC (2) But Sound Blaster ZX Optical IN only accepts Stereo PCM so I can' get DD5.1
I am suggested to get an ASTRO Mixamp but the price is prohibitive and there are concerns such as
(1) Quality of the Mixamp - I read the Amazon reviews.. seems like the build quality and sound quality do range
(2) Having to constantly switch my headphones between the two systems - would I wear out the cables and the ports?
Some have suggested
FiiO D7
JVC/Victor SU-DH1
Hope anyone can chime in and offer recommendations, solutions
Thanks!
