Review Huawei Ascend P7

Huawei Ascend P7 Review

Huawei as some may know is a leading Chinese (multinational) ICT solutions provider that have created the new Huawei Ascend P6 smartphone model. The now P7 version is built on 4G LTE technology with a 5 inch full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels /441 ppi) and a 8MP front facing ,13 MP rear facing camera.

At 6.5mm slim, Ascend P7 sets a new record as one of the slimmest 4G LTE smartphones in the market at 6.5 mm. To relentlessly pursue excellence with edge for discerning global users, Huawei incorporated a perfect harmony of design influences from the West with attention to details from the East.

Huawei Ascend P7 is available in both black and white color.

Also what's amazing about the 5 inch display is the weight at only 124 grams sometimes I wonder if these was really a smartphone or a toy! This goes to show that the Development team at Huawei have put in a lot of effort to make the smartphone more lighter and slimmer than before.

Huawei P7 is installed with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS and has a processor of about 1.8 GHz/Quad core . The internal memory consists of 16GB and 2GB RAM.

The built in battery has a capacity of 2500 mAH and dimensions of around 139.8 x 68.8 x 6.5 mm

Handy Features of the Huawei Ascend P7

Something quite useful with Huawei Ascend P7 is when the smartphone goes into Lock mode. Unlike other smartphones like the iphone or the Samsung where a swipe up displays the camera mode, for Ascend P7 its more simple. Below are the four basic yet useful functions when the smartphone goes into lock mode

  • Calendar - click on the calendar will show a pop window of your schedules or appointments if you have them created in this app. Very useful if you want to see schedules on the fly.

  • Calculator - sometimes, I have to type in my screen lock password, click on an icon swipe twice to find the calculator, this saves me all that steps in 1 button. You don't need a calculator on your desk anymore.

  • Torch - The light on the smartphone is really bright and I used it when the power went off, and I was not disappointed, however it will run out your battery if you have it turn on for a long time

  • Mirror - Great feature for woman especially in Asia who love to do makeup in the trainorbuses, without having to have a mirror in the bag and a smartphone, now you just need your smartphone. The mirror basically is your front camera view of your face

Conclusion

The Huawei Ascend P7 is very impressive for its weight given that its a 5 inch display smartphone. Also that its available in LTE and installed with the Android 4.4 kitkat makes its a good cheaper alternative to the Sony Z ultra
