Rumor overload: Samsung Galaxy Mega 2, S5 Prime for Europe, new Gear wearable

Samsung’s already convoluted product lineup is about to get even more crowded and confusing, according to multiple tipsters and reports, which hint at two upcoming Galaxy Megas, a Europe-destined S5 Prime and another Gear-branded wearable device.

Hold on to your hats, ladies and gentlemen, as the Samsung rumor rollercoaster is out of control. Look out, it’s after you!

Settle down now, you’re fine… for the time being. But the next few months will reportedly bring about a couple of second-generation Galaxy Megas. Possibly, with 5.1 and 6-inch displays. Now that’s beyond confusing.

The family’s very name suggests jumbo-sized handhelds, yet if speculation pans out one SM-G750 version shall tally the standard, “normal-sized” GS5. Meanwhile, the higher-end flavor will likely measure 6 inches in diagonal, which is still small compared to last year’s Mega 6.3.

Specs? Things are blurry for now, but we’re hearing the 6 incher sports a 1,280 x 720 pix res panel.

Moving on, it sounds like a bevy of “insiders” got their wires crossed, inaccurately tipping us on an exclusive Korean run for the highly anticipated premium Galaxy S5 Prime. Evleaks says the ultra-high-end phone will take Europe by storm before long as the SM-G901 in blue, black, white and gold, and he tends to almost always be right.

What else? Oh, apparently, the Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition, aka SM-G900FG, is close-by as well. With stock Android 4.4 KitKat, naturally, and every other feature Xeroxed from the S5.

And then there’s the S5 Active, also known as the S5 Sport for some reason, headed to Sprint, AT&T and Bell Canada in blue, black, dark green, red and silver. Finally, the Gear wearable slate is due for a refresh, in the form of a mysterious black SM-R382.

Is that a smartwatch or simpler fitness-oriented band? Running basic Android, Tizen or maybe Android Wear? I’m afraid only time can and will tell. Stay tuned.
