EVGA is set to launch a version of the GeForce GTX 780 that has twice as much memory as Nvidia’s reference design.
According to a recent email blast by the company two GTX 780 SKUs are set to be launched. The first will come with a standard cooler and will have a base clock speed of 941 MHz, a boost clock speed of 993 MHz, and a 384-bit memory bus. The second SKU will feature EVGA’s ACX dual-fan cooler, a base clock of 967 MHz and a boost clock of 1,020MHz. Both SKUs will feature 6GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 6,008MHz.
Both cards are also eligible for EVGA’s step-up program, which allows anyone that purchased an EVGA card within the last 90 days to upgrade to a new card for only the cost differential.
Complete pricing and availability details for these new versions of the GTX 780 have not been confirmed, but EVGA says pricing will start at $550.
