Hello all. Would like to know which plan would you guys go for given if fiber is not an option. Currently on Singtel's 10mbps plan.
1) SH plan: 25mbps home BB, 21mbps mobile BB, 16 free channel TV, Free local calls. For $24.90.
2) ST plan: 15mbps home BB, 7.2mbps mobile BB. For $36.90.
ST plan seems the best value of the two.
I have a couple of questions:
A) Speed wise of both in terms of home BB? Im hitting about average of 7-8 mbps on the 10mbps for overseas servers. Not sure what SH's average speed on the 25mbps.
B) I understand that SH plan supplies a cable modem and I would require to buy a wireless router. I do have a Singtel PACE router cum modem at hand. Is it possible to configure this as an AP and then connect to the SH cable modem? If not, what other wireless routers are compatible with the supplied cable modem besides Linksys WRT54G? And what other router cum modem is compatible with SH?
C) Does SH or ST throttle bittorrent speed?
