'Titanfall' beta is now open to all Xbox One users, coming to PC today

Titanfall is now in the public beta stage for all Xbox One users. PC users might not have long to wait either, as the public beta is set to arrive on Windows sometime later today.

Titanfall has been in closed beta since Friday, but Xbox One users can now join in without a code. Respawn founder Vince Zampella tweeted that there was limited server allocation for the beta, but later announced that, “Ok, just heard from @jonshiring. His words are ‘Let’s break it’, so the plan is to make the beta fully open and have you max stress it!”

He did say that it might be a while before the game is available to all users on the Xbox One, as “All the switches need to be flipped, and there are probably lots! It will take some number of time units to do it all!” The game would be listed in the “New Game Demos” section of the Xbox Game Store soon. Microsoft’s Larry Hryb said, “It may take some time until all Xbox One’s can see the demo in the store. Some members may see it before others. Until then just relax and rest assured everyone will see it soon.”

Meanwhile, PC users needn’t wait too long, as a public beta is set to begin sometime later today. Players with a beta code were able to join the game, but were faced with intermittent connectivity issues and latency on game servers. Zampella announced that as such, the beta would be extended “at least a day, to make up for the down time.”
