Recommend: Possible uses for 8gb SSD on Windows 8.1

Hi guys,

An 8GB SSD just fell in my lap and I am wondering what to do with it. How do I make my rig (detailed below) faster using it. Can't load OS cause too small.

My HTPC rig:

Athlon 64 X2 6400+ (found it in Jakarta)

2GB DDR RAM (mainboard's maximum capacity)

500GB HDD for C drive and 1TB for movies.

Windows 8.1 32 bit - may go 64 bit. (please advice)

HD6770

The mainboard is very old but still works well. RAM is maxed out at 2GB. That's the problem as Windows 8 on 2GB seems to crawl when loading anything. Tried using 3x 8GB SanDisk USB sticks as ReadyBoost and it doesn't quite help. I would prefer to use what's available to make it snappier than spend money on an old rig that might die in a year's time.

This machine is hooked to my 32" LCD TV for movies, music, YouTube and teaching the kids. I narrow down the problem to the RAM limitation.

Can an 8gb SSD be used as an

a) ReadyBoost

b) ReadyCache

c) ExpressCache

I don't quite know what's the difference between these 3 options. I need recommendations on how to speed up the rig using the 8GB SSD.

Looked around everywhere for an AM2 board with 4 RAM slots and 2x PCIEx16 slots to no avail here in Sg. I am thinking of 4x 1GB RAM and 2x HD4830 in CrossFire mode. Already have the RAM and HD4830s available, will be using the HD6770 on another rig. Anyone have one for sale please sms me at 81434468.
