HELP! Help on having NAS hidden when connected to a network

Hi all. I am no expert in networking stuff but would like to know if it's possible to have a NAS hidden when it's connected to a network. I understand the NAS I have (WD My Book Live) shows up to all users when plugged into a network. I don't have administrator rights to the network. At most, I am only able to add some peripherals in between the NAS and network connection if this is possible. And perhaps when hidden (if possible), only the users who knows its name would be able to find an pd access it.



Hope some of you guys can help shed some light on this issue.
