It has been more than a week since my 1Gbps connection was up and up till now the VPN still doesn't work. And I mean the very basic PPTP VPN tunnel. I've tested direct to ONT, and even brought my router to my friend who's on the older MR 100Mbps PURE network to test and it works with no issues.
While I need a VPN to work occasionally when connecting to my place of work once in a while, I'm sure nowadays others need it even more to watch Netflix, Hulu and live streaming of soccer matches like the World Cup which is coming in 2 months time. Why is MR taking so long to troubleshoot such a basic thing which all the other ISPs can offer with no issues out of the box?
While a very helpful affiliate of MR mentioned earlier on that it's a ONT issue which needs to be addressed, Johnny also mentioned their engineers are tackling the problem. So it's still uncertain if it's MR's new infrastructure or ONT related. So whose fault is it now and when a solution can be provided that's all we want to know.
Also, in the wake of SH's recent outrage of their fibre network not being able to surf overseas sites properly, some users could at least use their subscribed VPN accounts as a temporary solution. So you can just realize how essential this is and MR is still keeping quiet :angry2:
