With the purchase of DT990pro 250ohm, now looking into getting dac+amp to drive the headphone, I am a PC user, gamer (not particular with positioning), does not listen to lossless music, mainly youtube videos and 320kbps mp3s. Wanted to hear some opinion here as I've not had the time to go down any shop to test out.
I have a Go-vibe DAC (PCM2702) which I know its pretty basic, would I get benefit if I get the like of ifi Idac, or better with a standalone tube amp/SS amp + the go-vibe since Im may not be requiring high-def music?
Random Qns: How come some great guitar tube amps with pretty good tubes included does not command such high price as desktop amps? I know its a stupid qns but really wanted to know.
