Hey everyone,
As you all know....I have moved into speakers recently. And yesterday, I sort of moved into the actual speaker realms with my Adam Audio Artist 5 Active Speakers. To illustrate how much of a country bumpkin I am.....
- I thought that I would connect my RCA from the iDac into 1 speaker and then use the interconnect to connect the 1st speaker to the 2nd speaker.
- Not sure if it's good, but James (Sound Affairs boss) said that to connect RCA directly to both speaker. Left RCA to left, Right RCA to right. Wow, I didn't even know RCA can do that.
Okay so I hope you guys now understand that I really don't know much.
So today, I need to ask 2 questions for which the answer still baffles me.
a) Just what in the world does a pre-amp do or help in a hifi setup?
b) How do I know which pre-amp to get?
This is what I know:
- Volume control. More 'precise' volume control??? And the ability to fine tune improves the audio signal
Sorry to be such a beggar guys
